The River’s Edge Campground Rules

(This list replaces and supersedes any list prior to January 1, 2013)

 

  • There shall be no sexual activity of any kind in any public area at any time. This includes the pool area, hot tub, showers, pavilions, roadways and open fields. Violation will lead to expulsion and or revocation of membership. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Illegal drugs are prohibited. Use and or distribution of illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Violations will lead to your removal from the property and possible permanent expulsion. There is a zero tolerance policy on drug use.
  • Public disorderly conduct, excessive alcohol abuse and/or physical violence will not be permitted. Members violating this rule may be asked to leave and will possibly lose their membership.
  • Please help us preserve the natural beauty of the wooded areas. Do not cut standing or live trees.
  • Photography: In an effort to protect the privacy of all our members and in compliance with the Video Voyeurism Prevention Act (a U.S. law which provides imprisonment and/or fines for the capture of photographic or video images without the subject's consent), photography is prohibited without the express permission and knowledge of any and all subjects in the photograph. Further, there is NO photography allowed in areas of the campground where nudity is common, expressly but not limited to the swimming pool and hot tub. If you are seen photographing random groups or "crowd shots", or if anyone reports to management that they have been photographed without their consent, your camera (including cell phone) will be confiscated by management and will be returned to you only after you have deleted the image(s) in question in the presence of management.
  • No firearms or weapons are allowed except those which are licensed by a state-issued carry permit. Such weapons shall remain locked in the owner’s vehicle.
  • Please dispose of all trash in the proper containers. Please clean up your site upon leaving.
  • Loud music is prohibited. There shall be no loud music after 10:00 PM. This is a county ordinance as well as our rule. Quiet time is Midnight until 8:00 AM
  • Please keep motor vehicle and golf cart use at a minimum between the hours of midnight and 7:00 AM. Maximum campground driving speed is 15 MPH (including golf carts).
  • No gas-powered recreational type vehicles are allowed. (golf carts, ATV, scooters)
  • Golf carts are permitted only for annual site holders or members with current handicap parking permits which have been registered and approved at the office. A golf cart may be driven only by the cart’s owner.
  • Park in designated areas only. Do not park in roadways or on the grass.
  • Please dispose of cigarettes in the proper containers
  • Do not trespass across the property line. Please respect your neighbor’s privacy and property.
  • Do not leave campfires unattended. If you light it, don’t leave it
  • Day campers must check out before 8:00 PM. Otherwise the overnight rate will apply.
  • Pets must be registered at the office and must be leashed when in outdoor public areas. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for noise control.
  • No sexual harassment of campground employees, vendors or contractors on the property.

Swimming Pool Area Rules:

  • If you use oils or sun block of any kind please shower before getting into the pool or hot tub.
  • No diving into the pool.
  • No glass objects are allowed inside the fenced pool area.
  • No pets of any kind are allowed in the pool or hot tub areas.
  • No open containers are allowed in the pool.
  • No smoking is allowed within eight feet of the pool.

If you see any violation of these rules or if something isn’t right, is missing or broken, or if you are not satisfied with some aspect of your stay, please report it to management.

In case of serious emergency, please call 911. If possible, allow our on-staff personnel to assist with other issues to avoid law enforcement involvement.



Additional Rules For Annual Site Holders:

  • Site must be maintained with a clean and neat appearance. Nothing may be stored outside that detracts from overall look of the grounds (boxes, motors, dead golf carts, lumber, etc.). This includes unsightly clutter on porches
  • Annual site holders are responsible for mowing grass on their own sites. If the grass is not maintained, management will charge the annual site holder a mowing and cleaning fee which must be paid within 15 days from the date of mowing.
  • Trees and limbs obstructing roof or yard may be trimmed only with the approval of the Grounds Committee..
  • Annual site holders may not clear undergrowth or expand site boundaries without written board approval.
  • Any site boundary issues should be presented to the Grounds Committee for Managing Board’s resolution.
  • No unused vehicles or trailers may be stored on the site. They may be stored in the storage lot for a monthly fee.
  • Any construction on the site must first have written plans submitted to the Grounds Committee for approval from Managing Board.
  • All new construction will require a permit issued by the Elbert County Zoning Office and must be performed by a licensed contractor.
  • New prebuilt storage buildings must be submitted to the Grounds Committee for Managing Board approval and should not exceed 8’ x 10’ or 80 square feet.
  • No gas-powered recreational type vehicles are allowed. (golf carts, ATV, scooters)
  • No dumping of grey water or outdoor showers that are not connected to septic system (Elbert County Ordinance).
  • Members requesting to be put on the New Annual Site list must be approved by Managing Board.
  • Any annual site member causing damage to The River’s Edge utilities (water, sewer, electricity) through digging or drilling on their site will be responsible for the cost of repairs.
